I can't make up my mind

I was thinking about this pretty much all day, and I still can't make up my mind. It's like when I imagine a fight between a bear and a shark in outer space - I can't possibly decide who would win. Today I was trying to determine which I like best out of dragynflies fic, "Changes" or "Deceit." Both are similar in that they deal with the same characters (Gabriel/Elle), themes, and issues, but the first is a little more light-hearted while the second (though unfinished) is certainly darker.

Anyway. You guys have to make up my mind for me.

As you can tell by clicking my journal, I've been messing around with the theme of my lj lately. I'm trying to figure out all the features of having a paid account, but I fail at computer stuff. All I really want to do right now is add a counter to the page, so I can see how many people click on my fics (because I know not everybody reviews or comments, and I'm just curious to see how many people visit).

Anyone know how to do this?
