Christmas wishlist meme

Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.
Surf around your friends list (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
Here's my list:

Here's my list:
- A paid account. It's not that I mind looking at the ads on the livejournal pages, it's that I can't stand hearing them. The ads with music are really bugging me out.
- A fancy header/layout for my journal. I am no good at that sort of thing, and what I have now is very plain. I'd like something colorful and silly but most importantly, it would still have to be really user-friendly and readable.
- A Veronica Mars spinoff where Veronica and Clarence Weidman are an investigative team. The boyfriend and I have been rewatching Season 2 and we both decided that after "Rats Saw God," they work well together, even if they're playing for different teams. In lieu of an actual spinoff (you know, actors and their schedules and budgets and whatnot), I'd totally accept fanfiction.
- Book recommendations. I read voraciously.
- New boots. I hate shopping for shoes, which is why I have three pairs of boots (one black, one brown, and one pair of galoshes) that I've basically completely destroyed for the past few years. And since I have pretty much the laziest taste in shoes ever (I generally rely on the same type of Vans that I've worn since grade school) I'd accept whatever came my way, as long as they fit.
- A Fudgey the Whale ice cream cake. My favorite food evah.
- Heroes on DVD. I've been incredibly remiss as a fan in not already having these.
- Jose Reyes. Also anything Mets-related, as my boyfriend would probably take issue with actually owning Jose Reyes...
- A dog. I don't even care what kind, as long as it's big - nothing that I'd break in half if I accidentally stepped on it. Except that I'm not allowed to have one in my building. Shucks. The cats wouldn't be too happy if this wish came true, anyway.
- Someone to write all my final papers for me. Grad school is tough, yo. My ass is grass.

As far as book recs go... I don't know what you like, so I'll just tell you some of my favorites :)
- A Great and Terrible Beauty trilogy (Libba Bray)
- Summers at Castle Auburn (Sharon Shinn)
- Anything by Neil Gaiman, especially American Gods
- Any book of short stories by J.D. Salinger (Especially "Nine Stories," "Raise High the Roof Beam Carpenters," "Franny and Zooey")
And... that's all I've got for ya :) most of the books are fantasy and the first two are girly fantasy, but they're fantastic--I promise.
Book recs.
The Belgariad is a five-book fantasy epic written by David Eddings
The Malloreon is a five part fantasy book series written by David Eddings, which follows The Belgariad.
Belgarath the Sorcerer is a book by David Eddings and Leigh Eddings
Polgara the Sorceress is a fantasy novel by David and Leigh Eddings, and the twelfth in the setting of The Belgariad, The Malloreon and Belgarath the Sorcerer.
I love both series with a passion.
