I think I'll take a page out of aurilly's book and not post until I have fic to show for it. In the meantime, will those of you who write fic humor me with a short poll?
Hah. I totally voted with one of my rp journals, because I'm awesome at paying attention to what name I logged in. In case you're wondering who voted as formerlybatgirl that's me. Someday, I'll be rich enough to pay attention.
In any case, I love getting comments to old fic. It's such a nice surprise.
And someday, I'll finish that fic masterlist, to make it easier for that to happen. Someday.
I have it like...half done. I hate coding, so every time I open it to finish it, I end up getting distracted. Once I get the massive Sylar/Elle section done, I think the rest will be smooth sailing.
You know, I often don't leave comments on fics because I feel I don't have anything intelligible to say. It's an insecurity stemming from this friend of mine who always made fun of her commenters behind their back.
I only make fun of the ones I get from fanfiction.net. Really, it's hard not to when you get a reply like "If Sylar/Elle can't be happy, I don't want anybody to be happy!" on a Matt/Daphne fic.
But lj users are a much more reasonable bunch, methinks.
Crap, I didn't realize I'd finish my fic so quickly (is it totally transparent when I don't put a word count that actually I'm scared the word count will everyone off?). To post or not to post? That is the question.
There is NOTHING better than comments on really old stuff. Nothing. Sometimes I'll get a comment on something that is about a year old, and it makes my week.
Ok, so I love comments on old fics for the most part, but the exception is when (usually at the pit) somebody comments on something old "requesting" more. =_=
