I don't know which is worse, to have this done to you or to be the perpetrator. Seems like a lose-lose for everyone involved. Oh, and I'm not responsible for anything you find if you look up what an Abe Lincoln is.

What about a badfic meme, you guys? The silliest prompts you can come up with, all anon?

Basically I'm looking for a way to get someone to write Lyle/Maya or any of my other total crackships.

What about a rare pair meme? Force people to leave all their regular ships behind and delve into the unknown!

Do you think that people would actually prompt and write a lot? I'd be all over that, but I only know two or three others who might hop on that bandwagon.

I think they might. People always request the craziest stuff at exchanges/kink memes and when it's anonymous I people feel less shy about trying their hand at characters they've never written before.

I think it could be fun! :D

So do we need to disallow pairings that aren't rare, like Sylar/Claire or Peter/Claire or Mohinder/Sylar? I need to figure out what pairs are considered rare and what aren't.

But seriously if I can get even one more Haitian/Elle fic or something out of this, this would be totally worth the effort.

Yes, otherwise it'll just be like a regular kink meme where it's 90% mylar (notthere'sanythingwrongwiththat).

I think the main ones to disallow are: Mohinder/Sylar, Matt/Mohinder, Sylar/Peter, Peter/Nathan, Peter/Claire, Sylar/Claire, Sylar/Elle, Sylar/Luke.

Then you have stuff like Mohinder/Peter and Mohinder/Elle which are more active than say, Sylar/Lyle, but have never been very big. It's up to you if you want them included.

I have no idea on Nathan/Claire and Noah/Claire, are they het rare pairs?

What if it was a rule like "If they have their own comms with more than X number of members, then they aren't allowed"? I think that way there's some sort of standard to go by.
