stuff stuff stuff.

I finished my fic for the spring edition of the [livejournal.com profile] heroes_exchange and sent it off a little while ago, and then I polished up a fic I'd been working on this weekend and posted that too. Now I'm going to go code some more [livejournal.com profile] heroes_het_fic nominations and try to do stuff related to that. If anyone has a question about the nominees list or nomination process, please ask me!

After I do the coding, I still have the three Sweet Charity epics to write. I've started all of them to some degree, and one is about halfway done now. Then I'm going to write up a few more [livejournal.com profile] crack_van recs, even though I'll probably wait until tomorrow to post anything there.

THREE Sweet Charity epics? Wow wow wow. I did some more plotting of my ONE on the way home today, and I'm still feeling overwhelmed. You can do it, though! And I can't wait to read them.

i have a tiny [livejournal.com profile] heroes_het_fic awards nominating question. i looked at the nominating post and now i am checking with you because i didn't see this info there so i just wanted to make sure: do the fics need to be posted between any certain dates? or any fic posted at any time is eligible as long as it's heroes and het and it has a working link?

you are certainly busy. please exercise caution :) (people tell me that shit and i never listen, though)

As long as they're posted before the end of the nominations period, they're good.

I have a question for the awards (because I'm dumb, sorry). can you tell me what is the difference between
Romance/Fluff
Angst/Drama
Dark/Death

thanks

These are my own delineations, and are by no means official definitions, but here's my best shot:

Romance is when the focus is on the relationship between a couple, like the movie Titanic, whereas fluff is something that gives the reader a warm and fuzzy feeling while reading. They can overlap (like with romantic comedy) but not always.

Angst is more emotion-driven, especially if that emotion is anxiety or dread, whereas drama simply describes a feeling of excitement.

"Dark" means a fic that involves tragic themes, whereas "death" requires a character to actually die.

Does that help?

yes, thanks! :)

ops, me again: for the Epic fic category, your "indian burn" is eligible? is not 10.000 words but pretty near...

[identity profile] cruiscin-lan.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Indian Burn's already been nominated in the one-shot category, so that's going to be a "no." Epics it seems are harder to find than we realized.
