Spammity spammity spam spam.

Second post today. Could have spaced them out but... nah.

1. For any Veronica Mars fans - do you know of a comprehensive timeline or guide or something that gives the events between Lilly Kane's death and the beginning of season 1 in their presumed order? Otherwise I have to watch all of season 1 again and that would be strenuous and by strenuous I just mean a worthwhile investment of time I unfortunately do not have.

2. I think we're going to extend the deadline for the [livejournal.com profile] heroes_het_fic awards. It would give everyone more time to catch up on some good fic out there, plus it would buy [livejournal.com profile] psycho_llama and I more time to code... selfish reason is selfish. But we could really use more noms, either way, so I'm going to try to do a better job of getting the word out.

3. I've been toying with another idea. I need to stop having them. They are not all good ideas. But anyway - I'm thinking of a way to encourage more people to comment more often on more fic, and so I came up with something that I'd like to call the Fic Feedback Frenzy - some sort of (ideally) summer-long... not a competition, per se, because I don't know how people would compete leaving feedback, but something to encourage people to comment more, both quantity-wise and quality-wise. This idea needs more thoughts. Anyone have one or two to spare?

4. As long as we're talking about possibly-bad ideas, I'm still nursing the concept of a badfic exchange, but is that even possible? Would people's feelings get hurt?

5. Know any lame jokes? I could use some lame jokes. Here's one to get the ball rolling: What do you call a fish with no eyes? A fsh!

Thanks!

Feedback Frenzy sounds awesome!

They did a feedback challenge in the Lost fandom a while ago (http://community.livejournal.com/lostsquee/500389.html#cutid1). If you check all the posts tagged 'mod post feedback challenge', you'll see how they structured it. Not sure if that's what you're aiming for, but it seemed like a fun way to do it! <3

OMG wow, all the links to all the lost fic sites! Thanks! Who knew?

The feedback exchange is an awesome idea, too.

Iiiiinnteresting. I am going to check this out.

2.) Yay! I'm still doing crazy fic searches to find things I read back when I was new to this fandom. (I knew I would regret not saving fics to my memories.)

3.) Sounds awesome. One thing I would suggest is having people read a ship they normally don't and commenting on x number of fics. It would be a great way to see what you are missing if you only read specific pairings most of the time.

4.) I'm there. This sounds like so much fun.

5.) May I offer dirty jokes? I'm sure some of them are lame. ;P

Re: 2 - I think that is a fabulous idea. Now I'm imagining some sort of bingo board...

Re: 3 - Well, looks like it will be at least you and me ;)

Re: 4 - Dirty jokes are even better!

Does it have to be positive feedback? ;)

[identity profile] cruiscin-lan.livejournal.com 2009-04-27 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all... or rather, give concrit but temper it with something positive, I guess. I don't think flames count as real feedback ;).

[identity profile] yetanothermask.livejournal.com 2009-04-27 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, you know I was just messing with you. ;) I couldn't leave flames if I tried. I'm still not comfortable leaving feedback anyway, unless I know the person. *goes back to silently stalking people*

I KNOW AND THAT IS WHY THIS CHALLENGE IS PERFECT FOR YOU

[identity profile] yetanothermask.livejournal.com 2009-04-27 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, actually it wouldn't. You see, I don't like Sylar. Since he's in 90% of all Heroes fic nowadays, I wouldn't get far in this challenge. ;)

There are two pies in an oven. One pie says to the other, "geez is it hot in here!" The second pie says, "AUGH A TALKING PIE!"
