Lol, I *am* British and my whole shyness/lack of confidence/feeling pushing about including polls probably is somewhat due to that "don't make a fuss" mindset!
On the other hand when I'm feeling lazy or read a fic but wasn't enamoured, I'd happily tick "read it"...I am a contradiction in terms!
